We know that visiting
a new church can be intimidating so here is some information that
might make it easier.
May I wear blue jeans to church?
Definitely! Some people dress-up but many others
come in blue jeans and tennis shoes.
What is your congregation like?
Friendly. All ages, ranging from babies to the
elderly. Attendance varies from 35 to 115. Sixty to seventy is typical.
What is a service like?
Services vary, but here is a general description.
We sing songs -- both hymns and praise choruses. Normally our accompaniment
is an organ and piano, although on occasion it's a guitar or other
instrument. Often we have special music performed by one or two
people. We have a short children's time when the children are invited
to the front of the church for a short talk. The pastor gives a
sermon. We take up an offering, but it's perfectly fine if you don't
contribute -- after all, you're our guest. We have the Lord's Supper
on a quarterly basis.
Do you provide child care during the service?
Yes, child care is available for babies &
toddlers.
